This year for the October Doodle Challenge, I did circle back to one of my favorite themes and that is Halloween! Sometimes I go with more of a fall theme for October doodles but I am looking forward to Halloween this year, so here we are! You can make these doodles as spooky or as cute as you want!
If you follow me on Instagram you’re probably familiar with Stop Drop Doodle Challenge. You can follow the challenge using the hashtag #StopDropDoodle but you don’t have to be on Instagram to doodle this month! You can get all of the doodle a day prompts below.

October Doodle Challenge
For me, October kicks off the beginning of my favorite season of the year — holiday season! It’s also birthday season in our house, so it’s a time of so many celebrations. I can’t help but look forward to it!
While I have never been the biggest fan of dressing up for Halloween, I do love to decorate for it! This year my kids are hosting a Halloween party too so I think that’s why my mind is all about Halloween now! Plus, I love doodling cute ghosts. I can’t help it!
No matter where you are in your doodling journey, these prompts can help you draw. You can use any doodle supplies that you like. If you like using a pencil, go ahead! I’ll usually use fine point pens or markers because I love adding color. But I start by sketching my doodles first.

Favorite Doodle Supplies
Here are some of my favorite pens/markers to use:
If you like digital art, you can also use an iPad and Apple pen to doodle! That’s my daughter’s favorite way to doodle!
More About Bullet Journal Doodles
Many of us do our daily doodle in our bullet journals. You can draw out a grid like my example below from a past doodle challenge. Or you can do more of a freehand layout where you just fit the doodles in wherever they work on the page.

But if you’re looking for something you don’t have to set up, each month I make a doodle challenge printable page that you can download!
The doodle page has a box for every day of the month and the prompts are listed on the page so you don’t have to worry about keeping track of the daily prompts. Each day will be waiting for you!
