One thing I learned from my time teaching in the classroom and from my time at home with my family is that Bingo is one of the best games for kids of all ages (and yes, I’m including us grown-up kids too)! It’s a great game for any time of the year, but it’s a ton of fun to play around any of the holidays. St. Patrick’s Day Bingo is the perfect way to celebrate and have fun together whether you’re at home or in the classroom!

Prep & Set Up
The great thing about this St Patrick’s Day bingo set is that it’s so easy to set up. Whether you’re planning a party or just a themed bingo night, you don’t have to stress out about getting this game ready.
Just follow these easy steps to get your game ready to play:
- Download and print your bingo calling cards (2 copies of this page) and game cards (as many as you need).
- Cut your calling cards apart.
- Choose something to use for bingo markers.
- Gather prizes (if desired).
If you want to save the bingo cards and calling cards to use multiple times, you can use a laminator.
I have the Scotch Thermal Laminator and it has worked well for the past few years. You can use it for all sorts of things. I use it for game cards and other printables but have also used it to laminate things like artwork. You can usually get a pretty good deal on the Scotch Laminating Pouches too!

Print 2 copies of the calling cards page and as many game cards as you need.
I recommend printing 2 copies of the calling card page so you can cut one apart for the actual calling cards and use one as a key. Once a card is called, place it on the key sheet so you can see which images were called during that game. It makes checking for Bingos easier.
There are 30 unique bingo cards in this file, so you can print as many as you need for your leprechaun bingo game.
Choose bingo markers.
There are a lot of fun ideas for St. Patrick’s Day bingo markers:
- Gold coins (you can use plastic or chocolate ones but chocolate coins can get melty!) or Pennies
- Green candies or Rainbow candies (like M&Ms, Skittles, Starlight mints, gumdrops)
- Lucky Charms cereal pieces
- St. Patrick’s Day Confetti
- Mini Erasers
- Foam Shamrock Stickers (keep the backing paper on)
- Colored Counting Chips (these are fun for St. Patrick’s Day because of the colors)
You can also use bingo daubers, but keep in mind that your cards will then be marked and can’t be reused unless you have laminated them. If you laminate the bingo game cards, you can also use dry erase markers.
Get prizes if you want to give prizes out.
If you’re playing this bingo as part of a classroom party or a large group, then I’d suggest going with smaller prizes. Here are some ideas:
But if you’re playing with a smaller group and want to have some larger prizes, there are also some fun ideas to go along with the theme of St Patrick’s Day:
- Pots of gold filled with money
- Gift Cards
- St. Patrick’s Day Socks
Game Instructions & Tips
You play this just like regular bingo.
Hand out bingo boards to every player or let them try their luck at choosing the one they want! Hand out whatever you’re using as bingo markers.
Each player marks their free space.
Choose a caller for the game. The caller will draw out a card one at a time and then mark it on the extra copy of the calling cards that you printed by matching them up.
It’s super helpful to have the master sheet of what has already been called for checking bingos and also in case there is any confusion.
Keep calling images until someone gets a bingo. You should decide before the game starts what counts as a bingo. But for a traditional game, it’s five across horizontally, vertically, or diagonally. (You can also play variations such as four corners or blackout of the whole card.)
Once a bingo is called, confirm each image with the master calling card. Then hand out a prize if you’re giving out prizes.
Then clear the cards and start a new game!
