FALL DOODLE CHALLENGE
When I think of August and September, I think of all sorts of things that remind me of fall. School, apples, cooler weather, leaves, and more. For me, August has always been a transition month. I think it’s because I used to be a teacher so it was a transition month from summer break into the start of school in the fall.
So Back to School doodles were my inspiration for this August’s fall doodle challenge!

DOODLE SUPPLIES
This month I’m using some of my absolutely favorite markers. Pentel Color Pens have been my favorites since I was in elementary school. I can still remember my very first set and the girl who stole them from me in 5th grade. Have no fear, I got them back!
I’ve owned a few sets of them over the years and I love using them for coloring in my journal and in adult coloring books.
When I use them for doodling, I sketch first in pencil (which I do most of the time anyway) and then add color because they aren’t super fine point pens.
But I love the quality of color I get with them and you can often find them on sale on Amazon for a very affordable price! I also love that the markers are all numbered so you can match them with the color names!
Be sure to download your August Doodle Challenge printable and grab your favorite pens or markers!
I hope you’ll join us in the doodling fun this month. And if you’re on Instagram, use the hashtag #oodlesofdoodles and tag me @the.petite.planner to share a photo of your doodles!
