March is approaching quickly, so I want to share my monthly layout and talk about what spreads I’m using. Hopefully, you are inspired and can set up a monthly spread that works for you.

Previously, I was just using one spread to cover my whole month. It had a calendar on one side of the spread and my habit tracker plus a to-do list and monthly goals on the other page. This month, I went for a more detailed monthly layout to fit my needs and help me focus in on my goals.
My Bullet Journal Monthly Layout for March
Calendar and Habit Tracker
My first spread is an overview calendar of the whole month plus my habit tracker and monthly to-do and goals. It’s pretty much identical to my previous monthly spreads. This has worked for me for months now, and so I figured for now I’ll keep it the same.
I divided my habit tracker into different sections for health and fitness, blogging, and school work. I hurried through this and missed a few things I wanted to add, like a water tracker, YouTube tracker, and a few others. I’ll be a little more attentive for April.
Meal Plan and Mood Tracker
This month, I also included a full month meal plan and a mood tracker. I like to pre-plan out my meals, and normally I include my dinner plan in my weekly spread, but I wanted to get all three big meals of the day and be able to see my month at a glance as far as food and nutrition. Plus, it frees up some prime real estate in my weekly spread.
I have never included a mood tracker as part of my monthly layout, but I gave it a go this month because I feel like February has been a really rough month and that I’ve had a lot of bad days. It will be nice to look at it and most likely realize that there weren’t that many bad days, even if it seemed like it. It kind of puts things in perspective.
If you’re going to add a mood tracker, you can add whatever emotions fit with what you are trying to track. They might be different than mine. You might have more or less. Just do whatever works for you and what you feel will be the most effective.
Gratitude Log and March Reflection
I wanted to finally add a gratitude log to my monthly setup because I’m a firm believer in positivity radiating more positivity. Again, February was a rough month for me and I don’t want to repeat it. So, I thought if I added a place to write down what I was grateful for each day it would allow me to see the beauty in the bad days and the small things.
I set up a March Reflection page as a way to look back at the month and see what worked, what didn’t and what could be changed. I wanted to include a spot for memories from the month to bring a personal/journal touch to it, but I think I went a little small. Next time, I’ll dedicate a whole page, or at least half a page to memories where I can add some fun doodles and writing.
Workout Tracker and Baby Temper Log
The above Workout Tracker was an idea I came up with to stay motivated and to really focus in on my health and fitness goals. I include a workout item in my monthly habit tracker but thought that coloring in each of the squares when I completed a workout would be rewarding and motivational. I personally love it and can’t wait to start filling it in with color.
My last monthly page is a log for all of my daughter’s symptoms and habits. She’s been having a hard time sleeping and pooping, and in turn, she has been a bit of a grump in February. With this log, I will track the baby foods we feed her, her approximate nap times throughout the day, her temper, and her poo info. I’m sorry if you’re not a mom and are grossed out. Poo is the least of my fears anymore.
I uploaded a video about my March Layout on Youtube, which I show all of the above spreads and talk about each one in a little more detail.
