Earth Day Craft Puppet
All of the printables in this packet can be printed on standard 8.5″ x 11″ paper. However, I recommend printing the puppet pages on cardstock for more durability.
For this activity, you need the following supplies:
- 8.5″ x 11″ paper or cardstock
- Scissors (these are my favorite pair!)
- Glue
- Craft stick (if desired)
- Construction paper (if desired)
Print all of the puppet pages then have your child cut them all out. If working with a younger child, you can cut the shapes out for them.
Have students color in their shapes.
Then glue the puppets together by matching the body parts with the gray dots. Glue the Earth puppet to the background of trees.
Once it’s dried, you can glue the puppet to a craft stick. Or you can glue all of the pieces to construction paper to make this more of an art project than a puppet.
Children can then unleash their creativity by using this puppet to put on a show that talks about protecting our planet. Encourage them to weave stories that spotlight the significance of recycling, conserving water, or planting trees. Performances can take place in classrooms, during Earth Day community events, or even at home with family as the audience.

Interactive Earth Day Games
Printable games like the Earth Day Bingo, Scavenger Hunt, and Memory Game invite children to mix learning with pleasure.
Free Printable Earth Day Bingo
The Bingo game has a unique twist, featuring symbols and themes related to Earth Day, facilitating recognition of environmental elements while playing. The bingo game can really be used with students of all ages although kids in grades kindergarten through 4th grade are probably the best overall fit for this Earth Day Game. But older students can have fun playing Bingo too!
For this activity, you need the following supplies:
- 8.5″ x 11″ paper or cardstock (for sturdier cards)
- Scissors (to cut out the bingo calling cards)
- Bingo markers of some kind
Earth Day Scavenger Hunt
Scavenger hunts prompt exploration and observation, asking kids to find natural items or perform eco-friendly actions. Go on a nature walk and explore the world outside of your home or classroom! Families might find the Scavenger Hunt perfect for an afternoon outdoors, turning a picnic into an adventurous learning opportunity.
Print this page on standard 8.5″ x 11″ paper (one copy per kid) and clip them on clipboards to make it easier to use while they hunt!
Earth Day Memory Game
Memory games, with cards depicting various aspects of Earth and conservation efforts, hone children’s cognitive skills and retain their focus on ecological themes.
The memory game in this activity packet is designed for younger kids as it has a small set of cards.
For this activity, you need the following supplies:
- 8.5″ x 11″ paper or cardstock (for sturdier cards)
- Scissors
You’ll want to print 2 copies of the memory card page so you have a matching set of each card. This is a game for rainy days or a quiet night at home with your kids.
Recycling Sorting Activity
The process of recycling begins with understanding what materials can be reused. This sorting activity helps teach the ideas of reduce, reuse, and recycle in a fun hands-on way. Print about the recycling bin pages and the item cards.
Children can practice sorting various items into categories such as paper, plastics, metals, and organics. You can use this as a way to teach your kids more about recycling and why it’s important!
For this activity, you need the following supplies:
- 8.5″ x 11″ paper or cardstock (for sturdier cards)
- Scissors
