Cute and easy doodles are all the rage. They can be used for cardmaking, notetaking, bullet journaling, scrapbooking, and simple relaxation.
But, sometimes doodling can seem like more of a chore than an enjoyable hobby. That’s why I want to share with you some super simple easy drawings that anyone can do.
Before we get started, I have a few tips for success:
- It’s totally okay to copy when you are learning. I know some people might argue against this, but as long as you are not taking the work and claiming it as your own idea and you give credit, in my opinion, copying can be extremely beneficial.
- Stay consistent with your practice. I hate ever referring to it as practice as if you’re gearing up for some big tournament. Just try to remember to doodle a little every day. Joining a doodle challenge is a great way to get started.
- Don’t overthink it. It’s far to easy to get caught in the comparison game when it comes to art. Instead, roll with the Beatles and Let it Be. When you can just have fun without the pressure of ‘adding up’, you’ll find you open up more creatively and learn in a way that works best for you.
- Go binge some YouTube videos. I’m not one to encourage laziness (okay, maybe I am), but YouTube is a lot more than just cute cat videos. Take advantage of all the learning opportunities available to you on YouTube. For starters, check out my channel. I upload doodle tutorials frequently.
My Favorite Doodle Supplies
This section is totally unnecessary to your success in drawing or doodling, but I get asked regularly what I like and what I use. So, I want to share with those who are curious.
And for the record… all you need to doodle or draw is a writing instrument and something to draw on. Remember being in fifth grade and doodling cute little hearts and flowers all over your ankles?

Cute and Easy Doodles for Beginners
I made all of these mini doodle tutorials a bit different, but I hope they will be fairly easy to follow along with.
Gray lines indicate to use a pencil. Black lines are pen lines. But remember, you are free to use pencil all the way through and then go back over your doodle with a pen.
