But, I forgot to mention that we haven’t found a house yet. Yep… livin with my mom, like cool kids. I spend hours a day browsing rental listing and calling rental agencies. I’m pretty picky, to be blunt. Lots of natural light. Preferably hardwood floors in the living room and kitchen. It must have a decently big back yard. And this roundabout, I am demanding an area I can turn into my “home office”. Even if it’s the back corner of the living room. I’m getting a damn desk and some chic office decor.
You also know that I am infatuated with Instagram and it’s where I get my most of my inspiration for everything in life. Cooking. Hair. My bullet journal. And for the past week or so, I’ve been pouring over the hashtags #officedecor and #homeoffice.
Problem is, I can’t decide if I’m more of a rainbow, unicorn kind of girl, or a glam gold and all things Kate Spade type of girl. I’m thinking the latter, and my Amazon wishlist would prove similarly. Something about gold office decor just makes my heart skip a beat. I can look at ripped men without shirts and get less turned on.
Some things I should just keep to myself…
Anyways, after browsing through the feeds of famous interior designers, I’ve compiled a list must have gold office items that are sure to inspire you.
P.S: please send this to my man. He needs those ‘too obvious’ hints.
Chic Gold Office Decor You’re Going to Swoon Over
Glitter Deer Head: This baby has been on my wishlist since Christmas, but I didn’t have a place for it previously. I’m not a hunter AT ALL, nor do I really care for taxidermy decor, but I love this deer head! It’s feminine, cute, and sparkly. It’s totally fake, no animal deaths involved, and it’s easy to hang.
Hanging Succulent Planters: The unique geometric shape of these hanging planters is certain to inspire creativity. I’d love to put some soft, round-shaped succulents in these and hang them above my desk.
Gold and White Writing Desk: This desk is high gloss white glass with gold metal and three nice sized drawers perfect for pens, notepads, and plenty of tubes of lipstick. It requires assembly, which frustrates me to no end. But, as per anything in life, for an additional cost, you can have it expertly assembled.
Spike Wall Pod: The unique shape of this decor ultra modern, fun, and conversation worthy. I’d get at least three!
Gold Pineapple: Pineapples are in. You know it. I know it. So, just get with the trendy kids and sport a tropical, warm, gold pineapple on your desk. It may just lead you to the tropics.
Gold and White Office Chair: I love the white office chair with the gold accents. Is it practical for coffee drinking? Probably not. But, a beautiful office requires sacrifices… like standing to drink your coffee so you don’t leave a big stain on your new chair. Plus, it’s vegan leather.
Gold Desk Organization Trays: Who doesn’t need more organization stuff? I know I do. Looking at the shape of these gorgeous lattice trays, I’m thinking a few of my favorite pens in the long dish, clips in the box, and washi tapes in the square dish.
Chevron Organization Cube: Fabric storage cubes are my favorite. You know why? Because, on the outside, they look clean and organized, but on the inside, they can be a total disaster. And you can get them in a million patterns and colors to match every area of your house that needs a little hideaway for extra stuff.
P.S.S: I apologize for the lazy post about office products I’m gushing over. 99% of the time I try to write posts that are very well thought out and have an informative purpose. This post is purely eye candy. With moving, I’m pulling the tired card. Oops. But if you subscribe to my newsletter, you’ll be notified this week when the sixth installment of my Bullet Journal 2.0 Blog Series will be live. And I promise, it’s VERY informative!
